APP online takes quite a bit of effort

Apple does something better than we do. First of all, we have to buy an Apple computer to build an APP for the iPhone. Once you have done that, you have to register as a developer (costs EUR 80 per year). Then you have to go through a lot of screens, a payment system, and several emails with the helpdesk because your order for the developer account keeps getting stuck.

DistributionBannerStandardThen when you've done that Apple is going to check to see if you exist (via SNORM we could see that nicely). And when you finally (via test accounts, exchanging unique ID from your test subjects and developers, all sorts of detours to get test APPS on a phone.... ) you have the APP on your phone. Then you still have to do all sorts of things to get it into the APP store.

And then it starts... of all proceeds of an APP 30% goes to Apple.. .... pff.. contra Open Source I would say.
