Vicus provides continuity, support and further development of the Magento 1 webshop for Aheco.
Managing a webshop
Aheco is a family business with about 25 employees. They are an importer specializing in African food and cosmetics. Aheco had hosted its Magento 1 webshop elsewhere. This partner had indicated to stop supporting Magento 1 and referred Aheco to Vicus. We still support Magento 1 web shops.
In addition, there was already an existing link between the Magento 1 environment and Mamut's administrative software. This is normally not supported by Vicus. In consultation, this also became part of the services we provide to Aheco. We have the necessary general skills to solve any problems.
Sustained support
In consultation with Aheco, Vicus set up Magento 1 so that they could optimally sell their products. Another partner of Aheco, Square design, provided the design for the website. Vicus has been providing continuity, support and further development of the Magento 1 webshop for Aheco since 2019. As of September 2020, we hosted Aheco on a specialized Magento 1 hosting platform.
To keep up with the times, Aheco is also delving into the possibilities. For now, the choice has been made to add a Whatsapp function to the website. During a conversation, the marketing manager indicates that more is also possible with cross sell and upsell. Together with Vicus, this can be looked at in the future to see how Aheco can optimize this. Vicus has enough experience with this subject to offer good advice.
Working on your own terms
Aheco's webshop is in good hands with us. They get all the support they need on their Magento 1 platform. For now, there is no need to switch to Magento 2. Vicus will continue to support this platform, until it can no longer be done safely. Aheco can continue to work safely in the familiar environment for now.
