Wishes
The existing webshop of SB-Railing had to be replaced by a platform with more possibilities. IMS Netherlands therefore ended up at Vicus, a specialist in the field of Magento. The Magento environment offers a flexible and stable e-commerce platform.
What did Vicus do?
To ensure that we are going to realize the right functionality, the project starts with a design phase in which all the details are discussed. Together with Vicus, IMS Netherlands looked for a suitable standard template. Vicus adapted the template to IMS' needs and solved a number of technical problems in the template.
Vicus has adapted the operation of the menu to the wishes of IMS Netherlands. We also implemented a change to show subcategories in addition to the extensive layered navigation.
Results
The result is a beautiful B2B webshop with consistently displayed imagery. The website can be displayed in multiple languages. In addition, it is possible to import data from the systems of IMS Netherlands, for example SAP.
A specific example for this company is that dimensions are taken into account when calculating shipping costs. This is because there are special products such as a railing of more than six meters.
