During the very first Meet Magento in Europe on January 27, 2009, they were both there. At that time the software had just been released but the attention for the system was already huge due to the unique combination of open source and the range of features comparable to the large commercial systems at that time.

Late this month on May 30, during the 5th edition of Meet Magento, both founders of Magento will be on stage again: Roy Rubin and Yoav Kutner.

Roy Rubin

At the conference, Roy Rubin, now VP and COO at eBay will deliver the opening keynote on May 30. Roy is concerned with Magento's overall strategy as a company with a focus on helping customers and partners through the Magento platform. He also oversees Magento's training, marketing, sales and support.

Roy will give an overview of all the developments within Magento Inc. and eBay during his keynote. He will look back on the past year and look ahead to the developments we can expect in the near future.

Yoav Kutner also really needs no introduction in the Magento community. Yoav is with Roy co-founder of Magento and as former CTO the founder of the Magento software.

Together with Jary Cartner (former Vice President at Magento), he left Magento last year to focus on a new company (Magecore) and a new product (OroCRM). The first in the world, visitors will be able to learn about the system during Meet Magento 2013 via a demo of the system by Yoav and Jary.

More about Meet Magento can be found on the conference site meet-magento.co.uk , which includes the speaker schedule and ticket registration.
