VOSBA 3.3 was released on September 4, 2009. In particular, this version of the Open Source integration framework has many bug fixes and some new features.

The main new feature is an initial implementation of Simple Asynchronous Messaging (SAM). SAM is a method of exchanging messages between two systems a-synchronously. In practice, this means that the sender does not have to wait for a reply before continuing with his own tasks.

In addition, implemented are:

  • Multilingualism of all error messages;
  • Support for the Modis POS (Point of Sale);
  • More user-friendly notifications instead of exceptions where processing stops;
  • SFTP connector for secure exchange of XML files (tested in practice for linking Zen Cart with Microsoft Dynamics/NAV and Zen Cart with Papyrus;
  • Many minor bugs have been fixed;
  • See the change history for a detailed overview of the changes.

This version was produced in part by a sponsor contribution from Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen of Antwerp and project contributions from Uitgeverij Coutinho, Bussum.
